Position summary:
We are looking for a technical sound Senior Software Engineer who is proficient with Java-based technologies and frameworks. As a
Team Lead in Technical Support, your primary focus is to troubleshoot HealthEdge customers issues and improve user
experience over time and provide technical support to internal and external clients, for both hosted and on-premises
solutions by supporting our diverse Product portfolio. You will work closely with the Support, Engineering, Product
Management and various other stake holders in India and US and hence exposure to working in a collaborative
environment is highly desirable.
What you will do:
• Assist the customers to quickly identify issues or get workarounds for the various issues that they may face
with the Products.
• Act as a mentor for newer team members, offering guidance and lessons learned.
• Actively participates in knowledge-sharing initiatives, such as teaching brown bags or attending mobbing
sessions.
• Lead efforts to develop proactive measures to prevent similar customer issues from arising in the future.
• Identify gaps in Product solutions and implement automated process or script.
• Identify common issues and recommend resolutions to Product development.
• Demonstrates confidence to instill trust and credibility in customer interactions.
• Act as a role model for team members, offering guidance and lessons learned.
• Demonstrate resilience by thinking about the bigger picture and effectively communicate the benefits of
change and guide team members through change.
• Coach team members to improve their skill.
• Take ownership of driving team-wide initiatives to address systemic issues or gaps in product functionality in
accordance with the never again initiative.
• Oversee day-to-day operations.
• Participate in customer calls to guide them towards best practices and help explain workarounds/cleanup
scripts.
Might involve some early morning shift or evening shifts (India time) to overlap work with US teams. Mostly will not
involve very late-night shifts.
What you bring:
• 4-8 years of experience in analysis, design, development, documentation, implementing, and testing of
software systems in Java, J2EE, and related technologies.
• Experience guiding and mentoring a team of individuals on technical issues.
• Expertise in problem-solving, debugging java issues and providing solutions.
• Hands on experience in Oracle SQL query, query optimization, building complex queries.
• Strong experience in SOAP and REST webservices
• Experience with Java 1.8v, WebLogic, Oracle RDBMS based applications.
• Experience in Linux and shell or other Unix scripting languages.
• Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting of Java applications. Familiar with AppDynamics, Splunk, and Solar winds.
• Familiarity with modern front-end CI-CD build pipelines and tools (Maven/Gradle).
• Implement unit test cases in frameworks (Junit/TestNG).
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as GIT/Bitbucket.
• Provide technical training and mentoring to Juniors/Peers.
• US HealthCare Insurance Domain knowledge is plus
