Senior Software Engineering Manager

FD&E operates within the business and has robust delivery partnerships across Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering. You will take a leading role in designing, implementing, and evolving innovative capabilities tailored to solving complex scenarios.  In this Senior Software Engineering Manager role, you will also leverage cloud technologies for delivering enterprise scale applications to drive analytics and insights. In this role, you will be working in Agile development method for faster, quick wins with the quality of design, development and operating the BI components you develop. This team enables tens of thousands of Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering users (from executives to field leaders) to effectively monitor, analyze, and make data-driven decisions on their business.  **Responsibilities** **As a leader:**   + Work with PM and Business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical requirements, and partner with our PMs to plan delivery commitments.  + Provide thought leadership, creation, and execution on new platform capabilities.  + Continuously evaluate our processes and reporting to identify opportunities to improve, enhance, and automate existing and new deliverables.  + Collaborate with various functions at Microsoft to develop sound business tools.  + Hire, manage, mentor and coach group of Software Engineers to ensure timely, accurate and within scope delivery of all sprint items    **As a manager you will help your team:** + Design, architect, implement, and support key datasets that provide structured and timely access to actionable business information with the needs of the end customer always in view.  + Develop a deep understanding of vast data sources (existing on the cloud) and know exactly how, when, and which data to use to tackle business problems.  + Design efficient and standardized, data structures, and database schemas.  + Develop high performing and functional code.  + Collaborate on delivering technical excellence across the organization.  + Establish and operate data quality assurance processes + Work with multiple client partner teams to implement cohesive end-to-end experiences. **Qualifications** Required/Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience Additional or Preferred Qualifications + Demonstrated work experience combining people and program management skills. Data, business, and/or financial analysis experience  + Proficient cross-group collaboration and business partnering skills   + Problem solving mindset that craves complex challenges and business problems under a fast paced/changing environment  + Proficiency in SQL (query writing, SSIS, SSAS); Experience with C#, .NET, Spark, etc. a plus  + Proficient skills across the entire Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel skills and familiarity with DAX and Cube Value formulas for report writing; proficiency with Excel VBA a plus  + Experience and strength in building Power BI dashboards/reports is highly desired  + Experience performing data and business analysis  Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
