The Opportunity
Oasys is the software house of Arup. It is the brand through which Arup sells market leading technical software. To support the growth of our Oasys business we are looking to expand our global partnerships team.
We are looking for a senior software delivery manager for a suite of pre and post-processing software designed specially to work with LS-DYNA.
We have been using LS-DYNA for our consultancy work for over 30 years. Our in-depth knowledge of this powerful analysis solver has enabled us to create the Oasys LS-DYNA Environment - tailored tools written exclusively for LS-DYNA that give users the power to prepare models, interpret results and share solutions. The Oasys LS-DYNA Environment is used by the majority of automotive OEMs worldwide and across many other industries, including defense, nuclear and civil engineering. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Delivery Manager to join our global development team. You will be coordinating the delivery of Oasys Suite that has been used to design iconic vehicles produced by major automotive OEMs worldwide. You will be the driving force behind successful software releases, ensuring alignment, efficiency, and quality. You will help us ensure that we continue to develop and deliver world leading applications that meet the needs of engineers everywhere.
We have teams of software developers, product managers, marketeers, technical support, sales and operations specialists based in various locations around the world. Our developers work to define and create new features as well as refine and optimise the existing ones. You will demonstrate what good delivery means for the team, owning our software release process, while working closely with product and commercial management to efficiently deliver quality products that meet our users’ needs.
The role will see you:
Defining and continuously improving the delivery processes and practices of the global Oasys software development team. Working with the Product, Commercial, Marketing, Research and Technical Support teams to develop roadmaps and priorities. Providing/designing and maintaining any necessary infrastructure for successful releases. Liaising with and feeding into requirements for other Oasys development teams such as the DevOps and QA. Working to reduce technical debt and improve the maintainability of the products and managing/coordinating resources across product development and delivery to meet deadlines.At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Is this role right for you?
We are looking for a candidate with:
Degree level education in a technology, business, or engineering discipline Professional project or programme management accreditation Background in building and managing high performing, globally distributed software development teams delivering software products and services in global organisations. Previous experience with delivery of CAE, CAD or engineering based software. Proven experience in being able to define and manage the processes required to take a software application concept from idea through design, development and into production and maintenance Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills Strong communication and people skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders and line management skills, particularly within global teamsNot ready to apply just yet, or have a few questions?
