Job Description:

Candidate uses and applies extensive advanced software quality practices, principles, theories, concepts and techniques associated with the evaluation of software, firmware and configurable logic development for embedded multi-processor systems, and test systems. Provides solutions to complex technical software quality problems using established quality practices. Works as a self-starter. Follows and recommends changes to department processes and procedures. Reviews software products and processes for compliance to contract requirements, software directives and reviews work practices for adequacy. Provides guidance both to project staff and department senior staff. Guides the successful completion of program quality assessments and may function in a software quality leadership role. Interacts with senior product development and test personnel through both written and verbal communication. Has extensive knowledge of emerging software quality technologies. Conducts and documents reviews of engineering materials related to the design and release of software artifacts. Supports development of advanced software quality measurements, and influences the successful completion of supported programs and projects.  Develops and negotiates quality requirements and support for projects.

•             Embedded software

•             Firmware and Configurable Logic

•             Test Equipment software

•             Modeling and Simulation software

•             Supplier software

•             System and Software Engineering Processes

•             Software Metrics and Analysis

•             Software Verification and Validation

•             Software Configuration Management

Qualifications you must have: 

•             Minimum of 8 years of applied experience in Software, or Software Quality

•             B.S. in one of the following: Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical & Computer Science Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar technical field with relevant professional experience

•             Conduct technical research and interpret standards for application at RMS (e. g. ASE, ISO, IEEE, DoD, DFARs, etc.).

•             Advanced experience with Agile or DevOps software development

•             Develop and implement effective long-term innovative solutions to complex problems.

•             Must currently have, or be able to obtain, a DoD issued Secret security clearance

Qualification we Value: 

•             Minimum of 10 years of practical experience using high order languages

•             Excellent interpersonal and communication teaming skills, with the ability to communicate throughout all levels of the company and customer community. 

•             Demonstrated Ability to break down barriers with internal and external groups.

•             Advanced experience in software test, cybersecurity, software or information assurance

•             Self motivated and self managed professional able to collaborate across multi-discipline teams

•             Six Sigma Certification and ASQ Certification are a plus

•             Strong systems knowledge with advanced skills in software and firmware integration and troubleshooting

•             Ability to expose and convey risk based on system level analysis.

•             Experienced with Test Equipment (development, integration and production) implementation, evaluation and certification

•             Knowledgeable of CMM / CMMI practices

•             Experience using Six Sigma practices to continuously improve software systems created to meet the Quality Management System requirements based on AS9100D and AS9115 software supplement

•             Practical experience of Guidance, Navigation, Radar and Discrimination systems and associated algorithms is highly desired.  V&V activity and embedded multiprocessor design is a plus.
