What you will do

 

The mission of the Senior Software Release Handler is to act as Team Leader for the ECU Software release handling team and manage the release part of the Embedded Software project delivery responsibility. Senior Software Release Handler plan, execute, lead, support and follow-up activities and deliveries within the QDCF targets inside the area.

Leading and coordinating all activities within a release team. Request and review the project scope, timeline, and roadmap from the project leader. Distributing and following-up of work packages assigned to the team, within the team Making sure that all work packages assigned to the team have been finalized correctly. Making sure that the team will conclude assigned work packages within time and quality. Reporting progress and status to the project manager. Collaborate with AL/ESL/PL to align on CAL file deliveries and secure release confirmation. Support implementation, adherence and improvement of processes within the given area. Support the continuous improvement work with the team (e.g. share knowledge, training, lessons learned) Support  project Manager and line manager in bottom-up estimations of coming work. Support in resource planning in relevant systems / tools. Manage technical discussions and technical decisions within the development area. Manage and get approval for deviations. Secure the software quality of developed ECU software. Manage needed reviews of produced documents, design. Manage needed reviews of input requirements and change records.

Authorities

 

Approve deliveries from the team. Distribute and prioritize work-load for team members. Plan and request needed resources to be able to deliver.

 

Competencies

 

Needed competences:

 

Knowledge in development tools, processes and languages. Deep knowledge in embedded software Release & Integration, and real time behavior. Knowledge in ECU system (e.g. diagnostics protocols, data bus communication). Knowledge in software development industry best practice standard (e.g. CMMI)

 

Personal abilities:

 

Management and leadership skills. Thorough and with an extensive quality mindset. Good social skills.
