SENIOR SOFTWARE VERIFICATION ENGINEER

Position Summary:

The Senior Software Verification Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing various test processes for robotic, imaging and navigation products. This includes determining the full range of testing needs from scripted to automated testing to meet product Quality and Compliance requirements. The position will be a hands-on one with the individual capable of creative and systematic test development with minimum supervision. The job requires the individual to be a team player with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment. Must be enthusiastic, positive, even tempered and have strong skills in areas of dependability, interpersonal relationships, flexibility and maturity.

Essential Functions:

Create various software test protocols to verify design and product requirements.Lead efforts to drive software testing of robotic, imaging and navigation systems.Determine test needs for the entire software development life cycle.Develop test protocols to verify and validate software requirements/traceabilityDevelop/Implement automated testing where appropriate.Contribute to FMEA reviews and determine tests to support mitigations.Provide peer review of technical documentsMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesWork with other engineers and technicians to plan and conduct the testing tasks as part of the overall project.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fieldProven experience as a Software Test/Quality Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experienceGeneral engineering knowledge to create test methods across disciplinesStrong understanding of software development methodologies and testing best practicesExperience implementing automated software test, a plusExperience with bug tracking and traceability toolsExperience with Git, Qt, Test Track Pro, and JiraExperience with documentation and validation testing for FDA regulated industries, a plusWorking knowledge of Windows and Microsoft officeAttention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality softwareAbility to attend labs/surgeriesAbility to travel up to 5% of the time
