Senior Solution Architect
Overview The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for leading the overall technical design of solutions and for oversight of technical decisions within a project. This specific role is a member of the technical leadership team supporting digital transformation in manufacturing, distribution, and operations functions. This role will focus on aligning solutions across multiple areas of our business which includes enterprise resource planning, product lifecycle management, manufacturing execution, supply chain management, and product labeling. In alignment with enterprise architectural practices, the Senior Solution Architect works closely with a team of Product Managers, Business Systems Analysts, Functional Leads, Solution Architects, Software Engineers, and others to ensure a high quality, well-designed solutions are delivered to support business goals. This role has responsibilities for solutions deployed both domestically as well as across the globe. Someone who would be successful in this role has experience driving the success of complex technical projects that align with the goals and requirements of our business with our technical solutions. This involves analyzing the current state, defining the future state, and creating a roadmap for the transition. This role requires that you have an understanding of multiple architecture domains: application, data, technology, and security. Additionally, it will require you to understand a wide range of technical concepts including cloud computing, infrastructure and networking, relational databases, data structures (e.g., JSON, XML), APIs, programming/scripting, and system integrations. You should have demonstrated experience effectively collaborating with stakeholders including the ability to communicate and document architecture and direction to both business and technical partners. You must be an excellent problem solver and leader who can identify technical problems and develop creative solutions for numerous applications and platforms. Experience involving migrations and integrations between existing and newly implemented applications is necessary to fully deliver client value in our connected environment. ** This role is a hybrid position. Candidate must reside within 2 hours via car of the Cook Medical location and is required to work onsite as needed per Manager expectations. ** For this position, qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Responsibilities • Leads project project teams to define and document the architecture for a variety of projects • Provide support to the project team members, during functional requirements definition to ensure that functionality is both technically achievable and feasible within the project constraints • Work with members of the team to ensure that the solution design and implementation meets the architectural goals and applicable standards • Identify, communicate, and mitigate potential technical risks • Provide oversight to multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery of well-designed solutions • Ensure the architecture of a solution adheres to enterprise principles and standards across all architectural domains • Core contributor on the development and implementation of enterprise architecture standards • Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills • Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization. • Must strictly adhere to safety requirements. • Maintain regular and punctual attendance. • Must maintain company quality and quantity standards. • Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision. • Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations. Qualifications • Advanced technical university degree(s) or equivalent experience. • 10+ years experience in multiple fields of Information Technology such as applications, databases, infrastructure or security • Demonstrated progressive experience in software/solution architecture design or development • Experience with multiple technology platforms, patterns and frameworks • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills • Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities Physical Requirements: • Works under general office environment conditions • Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc. • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA • Requires occasional early morning or late evening teleconferences • International and domestic travel as required ** This role is a hybrid position.
