Summary:
As part of the Center of Excellence, the Senior Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for providing support for strategic Sourcing activities, including spend analysis, detailed savings analysis, and RFx development and execution across four main Sourcing pillars (Finished Goods, Purchased Components, Commodities & Transportation, Indirect Services). The Senior Analyst will lead significant amounts of information gathering, data consolidation, and data refinement activities. In addition, the Senior Analyst will have increased responsibility for supporting the macro-level analysis of Sourcing-related activities at a companywide level to further the Sourcing group’s strategic vision.
Responsibilities:
Perform complex data analysis using various tools (Excel, Power Bi, etc.)Develop a deep level of understanding of the data under analysis, focusing on ensuring the right balance of accuracy and completeness with timely delivery of required informationAct as the Project Manager for high visibility initiatives, leading projects from launch to executionActively participate in the project ideation process, using data to identify performance improvement opportunitiesNavigate seamlessly throughout the organization during data gathering and analysis activities, fostering relationships with partners throughout the businessAssist members of the Category Manager groups in analyzing data to support shared objectives and drive strategyServe as a subject matter expert and act as a steward of the Stanley Black & Decker Strategic Sourcing ProcessBuild and distribute complex RFx documents to external suppliersQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related technical field required1-3 years of experience in an analytical role. Experience in Sourcing, Logistics/Transportation, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or related fields preferredPossesses strong analytical skills and demonstrates expertise in technical applications (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Keelvar)Feels comfortable manipulating large, complex data sets and is able to leverage analytical skills to drive and influence business decisions Demonstrates effective problem-solving and project management skills and strives for continuous improvementDemonstrates business financial knowledgeDemonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills in creating presentations and other high-quality deliverablesShowcases maturity of being comfortable presenting to executive-level stakeholders and other cross-functional leadershipManages constructive and cooperative working relationships, often without introduction, and is able to function effectively on a team; displays leadership qualitiesActs as a mentor to Analysts within the team by providing coaching and guidanceDemonstrates self-confidence and integrity in a challenging work environment; is able to act as a self-starterShows initiative in taking ownership over new responsibilities, pushing boundaries, and challenging the status quoExperience building and running sourcing events (RFx) preferred but not requiredWe Don’t Just Build The World, We Build Innovative Technology Too.
