The organization

Delivery organization is an integral part of the Diagnostics Global procurement organization. Delivery teams are strategically located at sites, deeply integrated into Operations, and provide essential local support to manufacturing and support functions. They ensure early involvement in new product development projects and implement sourcing strategies in the early stages of product development and design.

Your Opportunity

The Senior Sourcing Manager is leading and supporting a broad range of global programs and projects for Engineering Services within the area of Diagnostics Direct Procurement, in close collaboration with stakeholders and adjoining functions. This role will manage service providers who specialize in high end engineering and design work and hardware and software solutions to support our Diagnostics business.

Plan, structure, and lead/support sophisticated global procurement programs/projects, with focus in the engineering services space (software development and hardware engineering for our Diagnostics Instruments)

Apply global sourcing processes (RfIs, RfQs, RfPs) to conduct sourcing activities, including TCO/Business Case calculations, contract negotiations, and implementing savings

Create contracts, manage vendors and supervise their performance regarding external Engineering Services and Software services

Conduct E2E procurement delivery activities with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and quality in the interest of our business partners

Ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and scope while monitoring execution and mitigating risks

Collaborate with (senior) stakeholders to define scopes, objectives, deliverables, and ensure cross-functional alignment

Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements

Maintain a continuous information flow to Category Management. Develop methods such as demand aggregation and leverage generation to successfully implement category strategies for the managed portfolio

Who you are

University degree in Business, Engineering or related functions, additional qualification in the areas of Procurement or Project Management are preferred 

Over 7 years of strategic and operational procurement experience, including 5+ years in program/project management and in hardware engineering services and software development services

Proven leadership and matrix management skills, with 2+ years of matrix leadership experience

Strong stakeholder management, negotiation skills, and relationship management in a global environment

You skillfully apply your expert knowledge of processes and systems for efficient management of contract documents, templates, and processing tools

Highly dedicated, motivated, able to work under pressure, result-oriented working style, and proficient in business-level English

Willingness to travel up to 10%

Ideally you bring Life Sciences or Management Consulting industry experience
