Senior Specialist, B2B Sales Contracting

As the Senior Specialist with the Best Buy Business (B2B) Sales Compliance and Contracting team, you will work cross functionally with the BBYB sales leadership team and other internal partners to develop sales contract strategies, as well as negotiate, execute and maintain BBYB sales contracts. Additionally, this team provides analysis, oversight, and support to the BBYB sales teams to ensure compliance with all applicable laws in alignment with Best Buy policies and procedures.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you’ll do

Proficient in every phase of the contracting process, including redlining, negotiation, execution, administration of contract extensions, terminations, and renewals.

Assist sales teams by analyzing RFP requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions, regulations and corporate policies, while facilitating the signature authority requirement for participation in RFPs.

Ensures protection of company interests and intellectual property through compliance with contract terms, policies and regulations.

Develop a working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and policies specific to the business in partnership with BBY Legal.

Effectively use time and resources, drive personal accountability and productivity, and be a highly motivated self-starter.

Independently manages high volume of contract sales agreements

Coordinate the processing, storage and maintenance of sales contracts, POs, certificates of insurance and other contractual documents necessary to maintain sales relationships.

Minimum Requirements

2 or more years of experience in contracting (legal work), use of procurement tools and practices such as supplier diversity programs, TCO calculation, etc.

1 or more years of building relationship with cross-functional partners and influencing change and driving progress

Preferred Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience

Sales/Procurement or Legal experience a plus

Strong organization, communication, and presentation skills

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (including redlining of Word documents)

Experience in business development and/or project management

Experience in retail industry
