What Is the Opportunity?Under general supervision this position is responsible for working in a team environment providing front line administrative and general office assistance on a daily basis to both internal customers and third-party vendors supporting proper claim handling practices, including financial transactions, collecting, inputting, reviewing and updating critical claim information and other administrative duties and projects as assigned. In addition to the above, this role is also responsible for general oversite of various mailboxes and queues, monitoring volumes and coordinating work efforts as requires. This job does not manage others.What Will You Do?Prepare, generate and review monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports, documents and presentations using the most effective technology. May be required to update basic data discrepancies identified in reports.Process various financial and non-financial tasks including but not limited to cheques (void, cancelled, recoveries), payments and spreadsheet updates.Conduct monthly audits of transactions.Assist with back up leadership tasks including huddle coverage & agenda creation, meeting participation with other lines of business and weekly task schedules for the team.Project support and process development, including ongoing maintenance of workflow & training documents.Train new hires and peers on new processes.Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?University/College degree and/or equivalent work experience.2 years in the Specialist, Claim Operations role or similar job experience.Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize daily assignments.Strong attention to detail.Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new applications in a department with the most advanced and continually improving computer platforms.Excellent telephone, customer service and communication skills.Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint).

What is a Must Have?High school diploma or GED.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel .
