Senior Specialist, Direct Billing
Job Summary

Responsible for cultivating complex lead opportunities with potential clients for retail prescription service, immunization service, and/or Healthcare and Wellness service programs to support communities nationwide. Completes opportunities by facilitating a cross functional and collaborative working relationship with Sales, Pricing, Operations, Accounts Receivables and Pharmacy Services colleagues. Accountable for client satisfaction and maintenance of client relationships for accounts. Leads requests for proposal (RFP) from a contracting and implementation perspective and collaborates with internal teams to respond to such requests. Actively reviews the performance of programs and maintain the profitability for the life of the program.

Job ResponsibilitiesContacts potential clients from leads submitted by the field and other internal corporate departments. For complex leads, coordinates internal and external meetings as needed to receive the necessary approvals and develop the appropriate processes.Maintains internal and external client relationships and proactively resolve clients with questions, changes, and issues.Educates other direct bill team members, internal departments, and the field on the direct bill program and associated processes and procedures through discussions, trainings, andpresentations.Initiates projects to assist the Contracting Director in managing opportunities and improving current processes, documents, etc.Updates systems to reflect requested client changes, (e.g., service area and contact changes).Regularly reviews the profitability of current clients and target clients with low profitability.Contacts store locations with manual billings to set-up new corporate programs.Responsible for the management of the RFP from a contracting and implementation perspective process to submit completed proposals to potential clients.Responsible for post-acquisition program implementations to ensure clients (with valid contracts) and internal departments and are apprised of status, and all necessary documents are created.Creates vouchers for new programs with voucher authorizations and coordinates vouchercreation for complex program amongst the client and internal departments.Develops and fosters positive working relationships internally (such as Pharmacy Supervisor) and externally.Responsible for providing a collaborative, customer-facing and problem solving face forWalgreens to the prospect/client supporting the vision of enhancing Walgreens as a community Health and Wellness community partner.
