The Senior Specialist, Inventory Control is responsible to manage the integrity of the finished goods, raw materials, and components inventory and supporting systems through SAP at US Animal Health and 3rd party manufactures. Responsibilities for this position include inventory problem solving and support of the Site Warehousing Operations and packaging operations through analysis of material flows, design of strategic inventory placement in front of production resources and inventory reconciliation and process order management. In addition, the position holder acts as an SAP Super-user and Trainer, New Product Launch Planning, SAP master data maintenance, leading department projects, and supporting internal and external audits as required.
The SR Specialist, Inventory Control is tasked with reconciling system inventory with 3rd party manufactures by collaborating with 3rd party manufacturing planning, finance, and warehousing to ensure proper financial reconciliation of all 3rd party vendor inventory.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Acting as an SAP SME, works independently to resolve inventory and internal order management issues in real time to ensure that customer service and Production objectives are met. This entails historical analysis of inventory transactions, material flow and root cause analysis of error reporting to ensure stability in the supply chain.
+ Facilitates and reconciles process order level inventory and production allocation transactions with Production Management to ensure proper resource management, system transactional accuracy and inventory reconciliation takes place in a real time SAP environment. This includes analyzing Process Order material allocations, cost variances, goods issue compliance and material reservations.
+ Collaborates with local Finance on financial differences and reconciliation methods.
+ Manages SAP Master Data Maintenance process to support both Distribution and Warehousing with accurate material information, including product dimensions pick location assignment and replenishment setup, put-away and retrieval strategic settings, and other settings supporting new production launch and ongoing business.
+ Supplies data for new product setup within SAP.
+ Supports the Site Warehousing and Physical Distribution function by serving as an SAP Super-user; by providing first line problem solving support and system training for end users within the Site Warehousing and Inventory Control functions.
+ Leads department projects related to Inventory Control or Warehouse Operations or participates as a team member on cross-functional projects representing the Warehousing and Distribution.
+ Oversees the inventory transfer process associated with the transfer of WIP product from Fort Dodge to Saint Joseph ensuring inventory reconciliation and stock transfer order management.
+ Supports Third Party Mfg. Planning and Cost Accounting with inventory control of third-party vendor locations to ensure inventory accuracy of finished goods, raw materials and components are maintained within SAP, and with Misc. inventory adjustments to correct other internal inventory problems in non-warehouse areas.
+ Participates with both internal and external cGMP and financial audits of the Warehouse operation. These audits can involve the DEA, FDA, USDA, or other government regulatory groups, financial and internal BI audits.
+ Provides back-up for Inventory and Order Control critical functions normally performed by team members as required. And all other duties as assigned.
**Requirements**
+ Associate’s degree in business related major with four (4) years demonstrated experience with order processing and inventory control.
OR
+ High School diploma/GED with a total of nine (9) years progressive experience with order processing and inventory control.
+ Experience must be inclusive of at least three-plus (3+) years using SAP or similar ERP system.
+ Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with all departments within the organization.
+ Ability to communicate effectively, in oral and written form, with peers, superiors and both internal and external customers and vendors.
+ Demonstrated knowledge in Distribution, Warehousing, and Inventory Control Operations, specifically in cycle counting and inventory reconciliations.
+ Strong, demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Passion for continuous process improvement with a focus on business processes.
+ Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional business relationships.
+ Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio)
+ Ability to cope with ambiguity and implement structure and clarity.
+ Strong background in the pharmaceutical/biologics/fine chemicals/FMCG industry

**Eligibility Requirements** :

Attendance / Schedule:
+ Daily attendance and punctuality must be maintained in accordance with policies and procedures.
+ A typical work schedule is 8 hours per day.
