This role in summary

 

Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Specialist Technician. This role is onsite at our Benton Harbor, Michigan location.

 

The Whirlpool Lab Information Management System (LIMS) team is responsible for the Technology Infrastructure of our Insight Generation spaces.   This includes a variety of systems and tools utilized to execute physical tests, collect data, generate reports, and assist the organization in data correlation for Virtual Product Development.  The team's primary skillsets are centered around software (code), data engineering, data analytics, technical product management, and information systems/information technology. 
You shall be focus on perform the maintenance of devices, equipment and acquisition system of Laboratories
 

Your responsibilities will include

 

Build and deploy data acquisition systems to lab operationsBe part of team discussion about the best technologies and systems to be implementedSupport lab operations with new devices and technologies ensuring low downtime.Perform maintenance activities of current devices, equipments that are part of LIMS infrastructure.Minimum requirements

 

High School Diploma or GED1+ years of experience within a test laboratory (setup, data acquisition and lab process, maintenance or product development)

 

Preferred skills and experiences

 

Basic knowledge of electricity (probes)Experience with laboratory equipments Experience with laboratory procedures (IEC, UL)Basic knowledge of Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Slides
