Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that FLOD Financial Crime related regulatory obligations are met with a focus on Business Performance management, AML/KYC/QA programs. The Senior Specialist will support FLOD in the development, implementation and maintenance of operating manuals, procedures, risk assessments and reporting across various functions.
Key Responsibilities:
KYC/AML function SME:
Support GCIB’s KYC/Onboarding reporting, tracking and monitoring processes and client managementPrepare and maintain relevant onboarding applications, reports, procedures, and operating manualsMaintain and track user accesses across various platforms and subscriptions to align with SLAs specific to the CMU team and other Business UnitsRisk & Control:
Support risk and control responsibilities related to FLOD Financial Crime reporting and operational requirementsSupport Business Unit Risk Manager with risk assessments, issues management and other various tasksDevelop productive relationships with Compliance, Audit, Testing, and Global Financial Crimes to ensure ongoing compliance with changing regulations and requirementsStakeholder Management:
Develop a productive working relationship with FLOD and SLODApply knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements focusing on Corporate Banking, and be able to relate them to policies and proceduresPerform other duties as required and assigned
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerpointGeneral IT/systems knowledgeAnalytical approach to performing varied tasksInfluential communications skills (verbal and written), Critical thinking skills, Business process/ analysis skills, and Documentation skillsExperience & Abilities:
1+ years in AML/KYC related industriesUnderstanding of financial instruments, especially financial products for corporate bankingFinancial and risk analysis skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment/ multitasking/ independentlyEducation & Training:
Undergraduate University Degree in Finance and/or related industriesCAMS designation considered an assetWorkstyle:
