The Senior Specialist II, Social Media Content Creator (Designer) is responsible for the creation and adaption of organic social media content across all owned Samsung Canada handles (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X and Facebook) of all business divisions at Samsung. This includes the creation of locally produced content (designing and production), partner with local influencers for branded content and adaption of global social assets (modification of content based on brand lead feedback). The implications of this role are considerable, including the continued perception of Samsung as an ethical, successful, innovative company – a brand that matters to consumers and Canadians. The primary KPI for this role is to maximize social engagement through creating compelling and platform specific creative and messaging. Reporting and working closely with the Manager, Social Media and Content, this role will be the key production and operational lead for all social media content across the organization.
Role and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing & Capturing Local Social Content (80%):
Responsible for designing and producing compelling local social media content (photography or video including social copy) from conception to delivery across varies LOBs (Mobile Experiences, Consumer Electronics, Direct to Consumer and Corporate Brand) and locations (studio, events, stores, etc.) for varies social platforms.Build and present creative concepts to relevant stakeholders (brand and legal) to gain approvals ahead of content production. Once approved, produce assets and gain necessary approvals before posting content on @SamsungCanada handles.Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (ex. original text, photos, videos, audio and news).Coordinate and manage product samples with relevant divisions as required for production.Collaborate with influencer(s) and agencies as required for them for branded content opportunities.Attend live events as required to capture on-site content for partnerships.Localizing Global Social Content (20%):
Review and follow monthly global social media calendars & playbooks for organic content.Determine how global content fits within local content calendar, maintaining level of support for product and corporate mandatory content based on direction from relevant stakeholder.As required from brand leads, edit static and video content including copy and titles to ensure legal compliance.Manage inbound requests by standardizing content requirements from all relevant stakeholders for efficient and timely posting of content.Additional Job Information:

Education:
Undergraduate or college degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of skills, training and hands-on experience.Knowledge:
Live and breathe “social media culture” – knowledgeable and up-to-date in different social trends, pop culture and best practices.Strong writing skills specifically copy writing for social media content.Expert in capturing videos using DSLR camera or mobile device & online recording techniques.Excellent skills in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, After Effects, etc.).Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is MUST.Technical production skills and experience (ie. Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.).Experience managing complex and fast-moving issues while working with limited supervision.Attention to detail and sense of urgency (in relation to key flagship product or service launch).Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.Highly developed communication & interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and interact comfortably with a wide range of stakeholders for content production.Experience:
5+ years agency experience, with +2 years in either creating (either through capturing and editing video content or using stock photography) or adapting global content to best maximize the performance and engagement of content through brand owned social platforms.Content experience - must understand and have produced social-first content across key platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook) adhering to platform content best practices to guide production of creative assets.Experience working with influencer(s) to produce branded content.Experience using Sprinklr or other social media platform to schedule and publish content.Please note that a portfolio is required for anyone being interviewed.
