Senior Specialty Representative - Inflammation
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will act as the primary customer contact for demand creation by driving marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products as lead by the District Manager. This strategic role will provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate its clinical and economic benefits. This position entails working approximately 80% of the time in the Metro area (including San Juan, Bayamón, Guaynabo, Carolina, Cataño and other nearby municipalities), with the remaining 20% dedicated to travel across the Island to meet business needs.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Achieve territory sales by implementing Plan of Action (POA) marketing strategies, which includes delivering branded sales messages, completing planned programs, scheduling and following-up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
+ Manage Accounts and provide service which includes ensuring product access, resolving/triage reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
+ provide feedback on marketing strategy and effectiveness reviews of sales activities and territory analysis, in addition to developing territory plans with the District Manager.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
Or
Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
Or
High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of specialty sales experience in Rheumatology products
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed
+ Expert local market knowledge in the primary care or specialty market
+ Experience working with Specialty Pharmacies and Biologics
+ A valid driver's license to operate an automobile
+ Computer proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
+ Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
+ Flexibility to work extended hours including weekends
