Senior Staff, Technical Program Manager

As the Senior Staff, Technical Program Manager you get to collaborate with our coaches and enhances the capability of our leadership team. You are recognized as some who thinks strategically, guides our approach, takes initiative, and overcomes challenges as they arise. In this role, you will drive our lean scaled planning operating mechanism, strive for steadfast improvement and be the go-to expert. Our team leads by example, rather than dictation, while bringing out the best in people, and not shying away from conflict resolution. You’ll Get To:

Agile transformation support: Promote and support agile transformation in the organization by introducing scaled planning principles and practices and ensuring that teams apply them successfully. Facilitate operational mechanisms.

Team coaching: Advise agile teams on the continuous improvement of their working methods, promote self-organization and support them in solving challenges.

Scaled Planning implementation: Lead the implementation of the lean scaled planning across the organization by collaborating with leaders, teams and other stakeholders.

Training courses and workshops: Develop and deliver training and workshops on scaled planning principles, roles and practices to promote understanding and application within the organization.

Management consulting: Advise managers on adapting their management practices to agile principles and support them in creating an agile culture.

Continuous improvement: Identify areas for continuous improvement and work with teams to solve problems and implement effective work methods.

Coordination and communication: Coordinate collaboration between agile teams and other departments to ensure agile practices run smoothly. Encourage open communication and transparency.

Metrics and reporting: Implement metrics to track the progress of the agile transformation and create regular reports for management.

Other duties that fall within this role are leading critical programs.

Work closely with Engineers and Product Managers to achieve high-quality outcomes in product design, development, and delivery.

Apply strong, data-driven recommendations and strategic technical judgment to solve complex problems aligning with business objectives.

Clearly demonstrate the value delivered through tangible metrics and results, fostering trust and confidence.

Build relationships and trust across teams, collaborating effectively with all organizational levels and functions.

Facilitate alignment of product goals with organizational and team objectives.

Model agility principles throughout program execution, guiding teams at all levels to follow best practices.

Enhance impact by educating, mentoring, and advising Technical Program Management (TPM) and Engineering communities on program management fundamentals and best practices.

Lead technical discussions and problem-solving among domain experts.

Identify and implement opportunities to enhance overall organizational execution and engineering productivity through tools and processes.

Actively contribute to and achieve milestones within scaled planning frameworks.

Volunteer for other assignments as desired.

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum 9 years' experience managing complex programs.

Extensive experience in product launches and managing the full product lifecycle from concept through obsolescence.

Certified and/or direct experience with lean scaled planning frameworks.

5 or more years’ experience in Telematics is highly preferred.

Minimum 5 years' experience with Scrum and proficiency in other agile practices.

Ability to grasp technical issues deeply.

Certification(s) in program/project management, change management, and/or Lean Six Sigma (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma Green/Yellow Belt).

Deep understanding of iterative and incremental product development methodologies.

Proficiency in project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, or Atlassian Tools (Confluence, Jira).

Self-motivated with a proven ability to drive progress despite obstacles.

Strong facilitation skills to lead productive meetings and workshops.

Excellent presentation and communication skills, both oral and written.

Demonstrated growth mindset and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Salary is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  This position is also eligible for an incentive compensation plan.  The expected hiring salary for this position is:

$157,750.00 - $199,250.00
