Provides accounting support to the Department Director, Service Area's Accounting Manager and/or Controller in a variety of fiscal and accounting tasks;2. Responsible for reviewing expenditures for assigned programs;3. Responsible for the timely and accurate submission of cash receipts, deposits, journal entries, program billings and in-kind reports to ensure compliance with agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies in the course of performing job expectations;4. Oversees the reconciliation of revenue and receivables in the general ledger for the month-end closing;5. Analyzes financial data and makes financial projections and communicates his/her findings to the Department Director, Accounting Manager, service area Controller, and program staff;6. Communicates with and is the first point of contact for various funders and/or auditors in consultation with his/her supervisory chain, as needed;7. May administer petty cash for assigned programs, if applicable;8. Researches and resolves discrepancies to accounts by making the necessary recommendations and adjustments;9. Reconciles variances, Agency credit card transactions, gathers supporting documentation and prepares monthly journal entry to allocate costs;10. Works collaboratively with program staff, internal departments, and external partners to resolve any accounting issues.
