NaphCare is looking for a diligent Senior Staff Accountant to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL. The Senior Staff Accountant's main responsibilities include researching and analyzing cost accounts for the organization and assisting the Director of Finance with pricing new projects. A successful candidate must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and manage changing priorities and a heavy workload.
Responsibilities Prepares internal statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and other departments.Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department.Develops, implements, and maintains proper keeping of financial records and making use of current technologies.Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting required.1-3 years of accounting experience required.Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.Must have excellent written and verbal skills, have the ability to problem solve, and work and perform independently with minimal supervision.Must possess strong numeracy and analytical skills
