Senior Staff Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing general ledger postings, reviewing monthly financial statements, and preparing various tax-related documents. You will also be involved in yearly compliance requirements, including audits and review engagements with outside auditors. Responsibilities
+ Post and review general ledger entries.
+ Reconcile invoices, including researching and resolving discrepancies.
+ Review monthly financial statements and prepare MD&A documentation.
+ Prepare, analyze, and communicate material recovery statements.
+ Expand the sites included in the MRF package to encompass additional locations.
+ Prepare for and participate in yearly compliance requirements, including audits and review engagements with outside auditors.
+ Conduct periodic sales tax and property tax audits.
+ Prepare and submit off-road fuel tax documentation.
+ Set up and implement new technology systems.
+ Renew business insurance, including preparing supporting files and documents.
+ Handle miscellaneous projects as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with general ledger entries, chart of accounts, and account reconciliations.
+ Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data.
+ Proficiency in ERP systems and the Microsoft suite of products, with high proficiency in Excel.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Effective time management and stress management skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Accounts payable experience preferred.
Work Environment
You will work in a beautiful newly renovated office building. The company purchased the building and completely renovated it to provide a modern and comfortable work environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00
Medical and Benefit Package will be reviewed with client. Can obtain it upon request from the candidate.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Enfield,CT.
