Senior Staff Accountant
Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)   Senior Staff Accountant We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role will play a critical part in supporting operational accounting processes, month-end close, reporting, and interdepartmental collaboration to ensure accurate financial data and process efficiency.
  Key Responsibilities Fixed Assets Management: Oversee the fixed asset module, including tracking asset transfers from HQ to centers, transitioning assets from CIP/ANPIS to in-service, handling depreciation and write-offs, and preparing the fixed asset rollforward. Month-End Close & Reporting: Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for expense allocations, certain accrued liabilities, and healthcare revenue, while ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. Operational Expense (OPEX) Analysis: Compile Amazon supplies reporting and analysis, maintain reporting for month-end accrued liabilities, and support broader operational expense reviews. Utility Process Oversight: Maintain the utility spreadsheet and autopay setup, coordinate with the Center Expansion team to ensure proper setup, liaise with Operations Managers on manual payments, and escalate issues for new site openings as needed. Accounts Receivable & Intercompany Balances: Update and track tenant improvement (TI) receivables using Salesforce to support the Center Expansion Team in their collection efforts. Intercompany AP/AR balances: Reconcile balances and support balance management efforts. Corporate Card & Budget Inquiries: Help support p-card requests and budget-related questions as needed. Financial & Operational Dashboards: Build, maintain, and support key financial reports ensuring visibility into financial performance. Tax Compliance: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely payment of business personal property taxes. Audit Support & Process Improvement: Assist in internal and external audits, while identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and process enhancements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, healthcare is a plus. Proficiency in accounting software (experience with NetSuite and/or Airbase is a plus) and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions and reporting. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and with external stakeholders. Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. CPA eligible or actively pursuing CPA certification preferred.
