Minimum qualifications:
+ Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 10 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or 8 years of work experience with a PhD degree.
Preferred qualifications:
+ 12 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or 10 years of work experience with a PhD degree.
+ Experience in the conjunction of traditional data science and Large Language Model (LLM) applications.
The Search Quality Data Science team works on metrics, insights, data quality, and methodology for Search Quality and for Search overall. The team is focused on the user's search experience, and collaborates heavily with search quality engineers and Program Managers.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$314,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Identify opportunity for product based on a deep understanding of the search quality stack. Build methodology and insights that can advance our understanding of search product and increase efficiency.
+ Focus on AI, introducing the most advanced capability to data science work streams.
+ Make business recommendations with effective communication (and presentations) with respect to data-quality, process, and decision making for Search launch and project prioritization decisions.
+ Manage stakeholders in a complex space. Provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects.
+ Work with data sets and solve non-routine challenges, applying problem solving methods as required. Conduct analysis including data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables and presentations. Research and develop analysis and experimentation methodology to improve the quality of Google's user.
