As a Senior Staff Electrical Test Engineer, you will verify that the design of new products are safe, effective and meet the requirements set forth by the functional specifications for the device.
This hybrid role is based in San Jose, CA, with an expectation of being in the office 3-4 days per week.

What You Will DoDevelop, implement, and maintain test plans, procedures, and strategies for electrical systems, sub-systems, and components.Design and develop automated test equipment (ATE) hardware and software for validation, verification, and production testing.Conduct electrical testing for performance, functionality, reliability, and compliance with industry standardsAssess and integrate new technologies and capabilities (prototyping, testing, et.al.) for the organization.Develop requirements and architecture for complex testing systems and custom test equipment, as well as guide design/test tradeoff decisions.Collaborate with regulatory affairs to prepare and review submissions such as 510(k)s, Technical Files, and Design Dossiers to support product approvals and clearances.Partner with customers, as well as internal and external key opinion leaders to develop technical strategies that meet clinical needs and product development needs.Lead cooperative efforts with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Service, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and/or Project Management to ensure project success.What you needRequired:

Advanced understanding of the interplay between system requirements (EE, ME, SW).Knowledge of video transport protocols such as HDMI, DVI, SDI, and SDVoEKnowledge of wireless interface protocols, such as BLE, RFID, and WiFi, including standards, requirements, and testing protocolsAbility to use automation and scripting tools such as Python and identify the correct tools for the applicationKnowledge of wired interface protocols, including I2C, UART, RS-232, RS-485, CAN, SPI, Ethernet, and DRAM interfacesAbility to lead and mentor electrical engineers about electrical test methods and test systems/fixture design.$127,400 - $210,100 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
