Job Description A Fortune 500 client is looking for an Senior Staff Engineer for their sites in Austin, TX, Richardson, TX and San Jose, CA. This client is leading company in the Aerospace and Defense, communications, enterprise healthcare, industrial, capital equipment and energy industries to deliver solutions for their most complex challenges in manufacturing hardware solutions. You will be joining the next generation data center and AI compute team that is responsible for designing, developing and testing software that drives highly sensitive data center compute racks including GPUs, CPUs, and AI accelerators. You'd spend a significant part of your day writing and optimizing code for drivers and application software for CPUs and GPUs, as well as developing and maintaining GPU computing libraries. Hardware integration tasks would involve validating hardware interactions and troubleshooting issues. Security is a key focus, so you'd design and implement secure boot features and stay updated on best practices. Collaboration is essential, working with cross-functional teams and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You'd also mentor junior engineers, review code for quality, and architect scalable software solutions. Regular interactions with product management, customers, and sales teams would help you understand and meet requirements. Skills and Requirements 10+ years of experience in developing software components for orchestration platforms Strong understanding of Redfish, gNMI, and gRPC protocols and their application in server management Operating system knowledge: Experience with Linux driver kernel development is a must.
