Responsibilities

Participate in design, development for Fuel Cell and Electrolyzer productsWork closely with the teams in BE HQ, San Jose for design goals and provide necessary inputsConduct accurate flow & thermal analysis of cell/column/enclosuresTranslate complex problems to modelsUtilize model prediction to evaluate/explore options, and provide inputs for designManage and execute flow analysis, with handbook calculations as well as CFD toolsDrive test plans for validations of models/product performancePublish reports and present modeling results on a regular basisDevelop new codes/models to enhance modeling capabilities

Qualifications

MS/PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with background in applied CFDStrong understanding of the fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics and Heat & Mass Transfer 5 years of experience in using CFD software packages, at least 3 years in industry/ product developmentProficient in ANSYS  Spaceclaim, Mesher, Fluent (must, at least 3 years)- from preprocessing to postprocessingExperience with complex flow & thermal problems, involving multispecies & all modes of heat transferPrior experience in thermal testing is a plusAbility to translate real world problem to CFD with efficient modeling approachExperience in writing User defined functions to be coupled with CFD packagesManage multiple projects and deliver in a timely manner, with minimal supervisionAnalyze thermal test data, for model/performance validationPrior exposure to Fuel Cell/Energy application is a plusAbility to learn new application areasHighly motivated and a team playerExcellent communication skills
