The Job At-A-Glance:

Q2 is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Software Engineer on our Integrations team at Q2, you will help enhance Q2's online banking software and extend its capabilities with new and existing 3rd party integrations.  You will design, develop, debug and deploy applications and services using Go, C# and the .NET Framework along with other technologies.  Being a forward-looking team you will also take on special projects and proofs-of-concept in support of new digital banking features.  Our work is broad and affects many stakeholders with constantly changing needs, creating a dynamic work environment where flexibility and adaptability are essential.   Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, fearlessly inquisitive, collaborates across teams, independently drives their own work, sees the bigger picture of 3rd party integrations, and is driven to provide great user experiences.

A Typical Day:

Adhere fanatically to lean software development and continuous delivery methodologies

Research, architect, and build sub-systems that successfully integrate with new and existing platforms

Dissolve complex requirements into meaningful, manageable units of work

Thrive on a small team of highly skilled, motivated peers

Apply advanced design patterns and technologies when appropriate without over-engineering solutions

Own the responsibility of developing high quality software with the right balance of test automation

Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to

Communicate and document efforts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a

minimum of 12 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 8+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.

5+ years of experience with C# and .NET, Go or Python

3+ years of experience consuming/creating JSON-based, RESTful APIs and SOAP services

3+ years of experience with SQL

Mastery of back-end or middleware development

Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins

Experience with test automation frameworks and service virtualization technologies

Experience with service orchestration tools such as Hashicorp Nomad, Kubernetes is preferred

Experience with Observability tools and technologies such as OTEL, prometheus, Grafana, Splunk APM

Requires a Bachelor’s degree related to Computer Science with 12+ years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 8+ years of related experience; or equivalent related work experience.

Qualifications that make you stand out over others:

Domain knowledge and experience in the banking industry

Experience designing and developing highly scalable, enterprise-grade, event-driven systems

Experience building integrations with 3rd party services (SOAP and REST API based services)

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
