This position can be located at any Duke Energy facility in or near the supported counties- Alachua, Citrus, Hernando, Levy, Lake, Marion and Sumter. The exact location will be determined at the time of offer based on business needs.
Job Summary
The Stakeholder Engagement team is a group of community engagement and communications professionals who use proactive principles and processes to implement Duke Energy’s mission of customer-centric community outreach. Team members develop successful strategies and fully-integrated engagement plans to engage internal and external stakeholders in order to gain acceptance of large and complex infrastructure projects. This position works in collaboration with project teams throughout the siting of new transmission lines and substations and through the development, implementation and on-time completion of a wide range of transmission capital projects. Engagement Managers are community advocates who facilitate positive interactions with project neighbors, local governments and others affected by capital projects. The Sr. Public Engagement Manager requires in-depth knowledge and experience in developing and implementing strategic engagement plans and communications tactics while building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the position are to lead the company's strategic outreach efforts for large transmission projects. This position is responsible for the following:
Basic/Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degreeIn addition to required degree, five (5) years minimum of related work experienceIn lieu of degree, high school diploma/GED AND seven (7) years minimum of related work experienceDesired/Preferred Qualifications

Available for travel and to support after hours eventsFrequent travel to construction sites to meet with crews and customersAvailable to serve in an “on-call” basisHybrid mobility classification - work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period.
