The Storage and Data Protection group works on primary storage, secondary storage, hyperscaler storage, data protection, data services and recovery and is responsible for data in the VMware stack.
Looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong technical background in software engineering with experience in storage and data path infrastructure. Candidate should have experience in developing and debugging kernel software.
Requirements summary:
• Minimum 8 years of Kernel software Development experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with storage and data path infrastructure
• Experience developing in C/C++
• Experience with Linux, Unix, and/or Windows
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Shell
• Knowledge of storage protocols like iSCSI, FC, SAS, FCoE, NVMe and NVMe-oF
• Strong problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills
