Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager

What you will be doing 

The position can be based in Boise, Idaho, or one of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Pleasanton CA, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Chicago, IL, or Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ). 

 

Main responsibilities 

  Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Sourcing (70%) 

Become a category expert in the field and develop category playbooks / roadmaps to enhance strategic transformation & contract negotiations.  Identifies patterns, trends, risk, and opportunities for sourcing and savings opportunities within categories that are medium to high complexity and spend.  Model, deliver and present accurate financial evaluations, driving cost savings and cost avoidance, strong analytical skills.  Lead the RFP process and manage stakeholders and Finance on bid proposal analysis, develop and manage Marketing KPIs and QA scorecard assessments.  Track and report cohesive cost analysis data; measuring and managing spend, demand, volume, and risk across all suppliers.  Adhere to and ensure the assigned suppliers are SOX compliant and adhere to all policies and processes. Demonstrate ethics and integrity in supplier and stakeholder interactions.  Facilitate and project manage cross-functional teams to drive the decision-making process during negotiation events.  Lead change management within the impacted groups to transition them to adopting new and efficient business processes and technologies, build a pipeline of efficiencies generating cost savings.   

 

 Leadership and Management (30%) 

Mentor financial analysts and sourcing managers using Strategic Sourcing processes and tools required to meet their job requirements and goals.  Train and coach on building stakeholder management skills, including understanding the categories, negotiations, contracts, and development of complex financial models.   

  

The salary range is $102,700 to $143,800.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.  

  

What we are searching for 

Education Level:   

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, and/or Marketing preferred.  
 

Experience Level:  

8+ years’ experience and /or the education listed above.   6+ years of negotiating contracts, managing strategic supplier alliances and/or agencies 
 

Skills and Experiences:  

Strong ability to negotiate internally and externally to achieve required objectives and executes and implement contracts.  Strong meeting management and facilitation skills.  Good understanding of marketing, media partnerships, and agency management  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Good knowledge of sourcing systems and e-sourcing technology.   Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems.  Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.   Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills.  High energy level, initiative, creative problem-solving ability, and sense of urgency.   Excellent team interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple tasks while providing superior service.  Ability to work with cross-functional teams.  Ability to lead and/or mentor coach teammates  
 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 

10% Travel Required
