Senior Stress Analysis Engineer Job Number: 352832 Category: -Engineering & Design SBU Description: A Stress Analysis Engineer position is currently available at Tukwila, WA. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline with a minimum of 10 years of experience in stress analysis. Job Duties: * Perform structural analysis engineering work for large aircraft interiors * Perform detailed sizing and static stress, fatigue and damage tolerance analysis * Extract and utilize finite element analysis data * Produce structural analysis substantiation Strength Check Notes/Reports. * Develops solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems which require ingenuity and innovation * Helps solve problems that would affect cost, schedule, and performance * Works according to established guidelines * Ensures application of best practices and identifies the need for enhanced processes, methods, and tools Required Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Aerospace Engineering from a four-year accredited College or University with a minimum of 10 years of experience * Good understanding of aircraft interiors structural analysis, manufacturing processes, and materials * Experience with initial structural sizing and detail structural analysis * Proficiency in classical static stress analysis and allowables determination * Proficiency with FEMAP finite element modeling software * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written * Strong interpersonal skills * Due to the nature of the work, you must be U.S. Citizen Preferred Qualifications & Skills: * Proficiency with Excel VBA and Microsoft office tools * Experience with ENOVIA LCA & CATIA V5 is preferred * Effective oral and written collaborative engineering environment communication skills Compensation: We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $114,400 to $156,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
