Physical Demands & Work Environment:·       Required to drive, stand, walk, use hands to type, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, talk, and hear. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead the design and analysis of structural components and systems for various types of buildings Preparing engineering calculations, drawings and specifications Review and approve project submittals, shop drawings, and material specificationsPerform advanced structural analysis and design using appropriate software and techniquesDevelop and review engineering plans, drawings and specificationsConduct field inspections and provide technical support during construction phasesEnsure compliance with design specifications and safety standardsCollaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project executionPrepare and present technical reports and project proposal to clients and managementsManage project schedules, budget, and resources effectivelyProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and internsStay updated with the latest industry standards, codes and technologiesOther duties may be assignedRequired Qualifications:Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record Check Criteria), may or may not be required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the roleAbility to pass a background check screening in accordance with Florida’s Jessica Lunsford Act (or equivalent state classification)Understands construction specifications and engineering data reportsMust be able to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specificationsAbility to read and write, including interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as writing routine reports and correspondence and speaking effectively with colleagues, Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop, including sending and receiving emails, and the ability to learn Field Data Collection (FDC)/Inspector Gadget to input data and prepare reportsMathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsReasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram formPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience completing structural inspectionsActive Professional Engineer (P.E. License)Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or structural engineering7+ years' experience in the industryProficiency in structural analysis softwareStrong knowledge of relevant code and standardsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and critical thinking abilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
