Job Description
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Supervising Bridge Engineer to join our expanding Bridge team in Canada. Our team specializes in the pursuit and delivery of large-scale bridge and structural rehabilitation and design projects nationwide. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your extensive bridge engineering and construction expertise to lead and deliver complex bridge projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate with diverse clients in both the public and private sectors, managing multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, and construction phases. This role offers exciting opportunities to work on some of Canada's most challenging infrastructure projects, including the Fraser River Tunnel.
Role Acountabilities:
Technical Leadership and Delivery
Project Management and Business Development
Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocationBuild and maintain strong client relationships, proactively identifying and addressing client needsLead successful project pursuits, developing winning proposals and assembling high-performing project teamsPerform financial management and reporting to ensure project profitabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated project solutionsBridge Inspection and Assessment
Conduct thorough inspections of existing bridges, identifying deficiencies and recommending appropriate rehabilitation or replacement strategiesLead inspection teams, including coordination of specialized sub-consultants and development of detailed inspection reportsPerform life cycle cost analyses to support informed decision-makingQuality Assurance and Compliance
Ensure adherence to all applicable codes, standards, and regulationsImplement robust quality control processes to minimize errors and defectsProvide technical guidance to design and drafting teamsQualifications
Post-graduate degree in Structural Engineering with a focus on bridge engineering from an accredited universityMinimum 20 years of progressive bridge engineering experience encompassing inspection, analysis, load-rating, design, and construction. Seismic analysis and design experience is a strong assetProven ability to lead and mentor engineering teamsLicensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, Alberta, or British ColumbiaIn-depth knowledge of Canadian bridge design codes and standards, including CSA S6 and familiarity with AT, ON MOT, and BC MOTI standardsProficiency in 3D modeling and analysis software, such as CSI Bridge or MIDAS CivilStrong technical report writing, problem-solving, and communication skillsAdditional Information

The salary range for this position is $106,500 - $159,750. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
