Job Title: Structural Engineer (Buildings) Job Description Engineer with 8+ years of experience in building technologies with a PE license highly preferred. Must be familiar with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber construction and building code requirements. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading projects regarding the development of designs for new construction or renovations of existing structures. Construction or stormwater management design experience is a plus. The selected candidate will assess existing conditions, establish project budgets, write detailed technical proposals and reports, and lead design efforts. The position will report to the division manager or principal in charge of the Structural Department. Hard Skills + 8/12 years of experience in building-related investigation and structural design (Wood Structure like Timber is a huge plus) + Broad experience in different types of construction from Timber to Steel + PE is strongly preferred and with extensive experience is a must + Strong written and oral communication skills + Experience with standard engineering software required + Experience with one or more mainstream structural analysis and design programs such as Tedds/Tekla Structural Designer, RISA, REVIT, and AutoCAD proficiency + Working knowledge of the IBC Codes + Bachelor’s Degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering (focus on structural engineering) Aerospace is acceptable as well Soft Skills + Strong communication & personal skills + Team leader, guide and mentor Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Warren County, New Jersey. Work Environment Even though the client prefers people to be in the office, they are super flexible with scheduling. Flex time - typical hours are 8-5 but are open to different times as long as you put in the 8 hours. Corporate office building /commute is easy and close to major highways but can take the backroads.
