Job Title: Senior Structural EngineerJob Description We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with extensive experience in various building types including commercial warehouses, food storage facilities, industrial buildings, office buildings, retail spaces, restaurants, and multi-family buildings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing designs, performing calculations, and managing projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities + Function as Principal-in-charge of structural projects. + Stamp off on projects as a Professional Engineer and lead a team of three Structural Engineers. + Partner with the Architecture Principal to create budgets, invoices, and review monthly accounts payable and receivable. + Manage projects in commercial and industrial building types. + Review designs for quality assurance and quality control. + Perform structural calculations. + Draft construction drawings using AutoCAD or Revit. + Conduct field inspections at client sites. + Oversee projects from start to finish, including design review, calculations, team management, and communication with clients regarding timelines and budgets. + Manage up to ten projects simultaneously, ranging from small one-day projects to large five- to six-month building restoration projects. Essential Skills + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering. + Minimum of 10 years experience in structural design. + Professional Engineering license. + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. + Experience with steel, CMU, wood, and concrete structures. + Working knowledge of the International Building Code. + Experience with industrial projects such as manufacturing, warehouse, and transportation facilities. + Proficiency in structural engineering applications such as Risa, EnerCalc, and MathCad. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong understanding of structural wood and masonry. + Experience with structural analysis and design for various building codes. + Ability to perform structural calculations and draft construction drawings. + Effective communication and project management skills. Work Environment The role is fully in-office with a team of 10 professionals. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with flexible hours available.
