Requirements:
10+ years experience in structural engineering, specifically in structural steel and foundation design for high voltage substations, transmission lines, industrial, power generation, industrial buildings, and other utility projects. Must possess a Bachelors’ Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and be licensed to practice as a professional engineer in California (USA). Experience with transmission station structures and overhead transmission lines with operating voltages not less than 115 kV Previous experience in the design of heavy industrial structures (steel, concrete, wood, masonry), preferably in the power industry, and Consulting Engineering experience is desirable Must have strong computer skills (familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, MathCAD, Structural Analysis Software such as STAAD, SFrame, RISA, LPILE and/or transmission line design software PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole & Tower, SAGSEC and CAISSON etc...) Experience in business development and civil design would be an asset. Strong leadership, communication, report writing, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills are required. Candidate must effectively work as part of the multidiscipline design team and provide leadership and guidance to the team. Must be able to work independently and with others on multiple projects. The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
