eidos is seeking an Senior Substation Site Civil Engineer to join our site/civil department to work on a variety of electric utility projects.

Typical projects involve site/civil design engineering for both large and small scale utility projects. Candidates who have commercial/industrial site development experience will also be considered for the position. Candidate will primarily function as a senior engineer performing design reviews on a regular basis, as well as developing junior staff members, and contributing to bids and proposal development.

This role will also consist of taking a responsible engineer role on main client projects, overseeing the work and ensuring quality control on design packages. Site-visits to client substation facilities are expected to be part of the work, along with occasional travel for client meetings and industry related events. Experience in front-facing client operations such as lunch and learns, and kick-off meetings if preferred. Candidate must comply with quality control and safe work practices and maintain compliance with project scope, schedule and budget expectations.  This position will be a senior member of a design team comprised of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians.

Required Experience & Education:

B.S. degree in Civil Engineering Engineer with 4+ years of directly applicable civil-site design experienceP.E. license preferredExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and/or MicroStation OpenSite Designer softwareExperience with Hydraflow, ICPR, or various other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling & design programsProficiency using Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other general software toolsStrong analytical and technical writing skillsTeam player with ability to communicate effectively with clients and staffAble to execute projects and handle clients successfully with limited supervisionWilling to travel, up to 25%Authorized to work in U.S.
