National Grid is seeking two Senior Supervisors, Gas Instrumentation & Regulation for our NE Gas Business, one in Braintree and one in Amesbury. This is an in the field and onsite position (approximately 50/50).

Job PurposeManage lnstrumentation and Regulation resources to optimize efficiency as well as personal and public safety.
Key Accountabilities Oversee mandated inspections and testing Monitor, assess and implement changes to achieve targets for safety, customer focus, service and cost Perform safety observation tours and conduct safety meetings Ensure established targets are tracked and met Resolve customer complaints in a satisfactory manner Assist with scheduling for all department assignments Maintain communications with other departments, municipal inspectors, contractors and customers Provide timely and accurate record keeping Administer performance reviews, positive discipline and absenteeism policies Maintain department inventories and supplies Respond to all gas emergencies, from individual orders to system wide events by mobilizing and coordinating activities of a large and mobile work force and in concert with other departments Continuously look for improvements in current processes and propose new ideas Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required Supervise field employees engaged in pressure regulation, instrumentation and gas conditioning activities Maintain working relationships with union representatives. Train field employees in pressure regulation, odorization and instrumentation Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred, as well as a minimum of 5 years experience with Instrumentation & Regulation.
