Our Miami smelter and rod plant is nestled just 90 miles east of Phoenix. The smelter processes copper concentrate primarily from our company’s Arizona copper mines and is the most significant source of sulphuric acid for our North American leaching operations. Arizona’s Globe-Miami historic mining district offers natural beauty and a rich mining heritage. What You Will Do Ensure continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules. Provide Operations input for production and maintenance planning. Ensure adherence to correct safety and operating procedures and compliance with appropriated federal and state laws and regulations. Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained. Coordinate daily with other Operational and staff areas, including but not limited to Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Sales Directly supervise first-line or shift Supervisors. Perform other duties as required. What You Bring To Freeport High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience, OR Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline and three (3) years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience. Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required. Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects. Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration. Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Preferred Qualifications Two+ (2 plus) years of Maintenance Supervision experience in copper smelting/chemical plant processing environment A working knowledge and understanding of moving and rotating equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, and conveyors, from an operations and maintenance perspective, electrically and mechanically  A working knowledge of welding SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Weld) 3&4G structure plate procedures Experience in industrial project management Experience in supervising contractors 3 plus years in detailed scope writing  Experience in Managing/supervising contractors Documented leadership training

What We Offer You 

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $98,000-$137,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.  What We Require
