We’re looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, Metals to lead supplier development and ensure our global supply chain exceeds expectations. If you’re passionate about driving quality, fostering innovation, and collaborating in a dynamic environment, this role is for you! In this role, you will own the end-to-end management of global supplier relationships and processes that directly impact the Cost of Quality (COQ) at GE Appliances. You’ll lead cross-functional initiatives, solve complex technical challenges, and drive supplier improvements through expertise in metals manufacturing.

**How You'll Create Possibilities**
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Supplier Development:**
+ Build expertise in metals processes such as stamping, casting, roll forming, extrusion, and coatings.
+ Partner across Technology, Manufacturing, Service, and Sourcing teams in a matrixed organization.
+ Lead supplier certification and onboarding processes.
**Problem Solving & Quality Assurance:**
+ Manage Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
+ Drive root cause analysis and corrective action for supplier quality issues.
+ Conduct drawing reviews to ensure adherence to performance, reliability, and quality standards.
**Supplier Improvement:**
+ Conduct on-site assessments and implement corrective actions to enhance supplier performance.
+ Perform annual quality audits to ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
**Cost Optimization:**
+ Lead cost reduction initiatives and qualify alternate sources to mitigate business risks.
+ Apply Lean manufacturing concepts to improve supplier processes and deliver cost savings.
**Working conditions are normal for an office environment.**
+ Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
**What You'll Bring to Our Team**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Possess an Engineering or Technical (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) degree or equivalent technical experience.
+ 5+ years of Supply Chain, Quality, or Technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Previous experience in applying statistical tools for process and product development and control (i.e. Gage R&R, Process Capability, Control Plans, SPC, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Design of Experiments (DOEs)).
+ Strong skills in interpreting blueprints, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T.
+ Proven expertise in problem-solving techniques (8-D, 5 Whys, Six Sigma, etc.).
+ Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
+ Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience in metals manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, casting, extrusion, coatings).
+ Lean Manufacturing experience and Six Sigma certification.
+ Proficiency with Oracle ERP systems (AGILE, EBS).
+ Multilingual skills (e.g., Chinese, Spanish).
+ International work experience.
