SRC, Inc., is currently seeking a senior supplier quality engineer. The selected applicant will play a crucial role in supply chain management in the areas of supplier selection, qualification/requalification, first article inspection, corrective actions, overall performance tracking, and communication, as well as development efforts. In this role, you will collaborate with manufacturing engineering, materials, purchasing, design engineering and program management to ensure that quality requirements are understood and applied. What You’ll Do Coordinate and lead efforts to solve complex problems that will require involvement with customers, company and suppliersAct as liaison between customers, company and suppliers to solve concerns and problemsAssist manufacturing engineering and purchasing in alternate source strategies and initiativesRequest, monitor and confirm supplier corrective actionsConduct supplier qualification and surveillance auditsIdentify and implement plans to improve performance by reducing cycle time, material coats, increased flexibility, capability and customer satisfaction of business-critical suppliersLead and/or participate in continuous process improvementsAid suppliers, where necessary, with the generation of control plans/Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), responses to corrective actions and overall development effortsProvide input and/or approval for procedures and work instructionsProvide training, internal/external, as necessaryParticipate/present in management review meetingsGenerate trip reports as neededWhat You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in a technical disciplineFour or more years of quality engineering experience, ideally with an ISO-compliant electronics manufacturerMust possess excellent organizational, leadership, communication, project management, change management and computer skillsExperience in either a high-volume production environment, or in the assembly of highly engineered hardware/software products with low to medium volume production desiredExperience with both manual and automated testing and knowledge of cables/harnesses, mechanical measurement, torque requirements and machined components preferredPreferred Requirements – Ways to Stand Out Experience in printed circuit boards and board assemblies, cables, electronics, and/or mechanical systemsSix Sigma Green Belt or Black BeltAmerican Society for Quality (ASQ) certificationKnowledge of electronics systems or radar/radio frequency (RF)What Sets Us Apart?
