Senior Supply Chain Commodity Manager (m/f/d)

Our subsidiary, Integrated Circuit Testing GmbH (ICT GmbH), with ~160 employees, develops and produces electron microscopes, the heart of our machines, which monitor processes in semiconductor production and classify the smallest defects on wafers. To meet the rapidly increasing demand from our customers in the semiconductor industry, our location near Munich, Germany is constantly growing.

To strengthen our Materials and Supply Chain team, managed by Applied Materials Israel, we are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Commodity Manager (m/f/d), who will support and collaborate between Applied Materials Israel and Applied Materials (ICT GmbH) in Heimstetten, near Munich.

You’re eager to;

Be a part of highly qualified engineering team, to efficiently manage the manufacturing as well as technical domain of complex modules developed by our R&D team

Collaborate with other departments to ensure a prompt execution as well as efficient and smooth production

Tasks and responsibilities:

Development, alignment, and implementation of commodity strategies

Management of all commercial aspects within relevant commodities (precise machining, ceramics, etc…)

Responsible for setting long term vendor base strategies.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining robust supply chain for ICT products

Management of all costing aspects including Cost Reduction opportunities

Working together with the R&D team (Germany & Israel) on all technology sourcing and costing aspects

Manage business challenges as well as regulatory issues and lead processes for product or service improvements

Qualification:

University degree in Engineering or related field of studies (second degree in Business Administration is an advantage)   

Relevant technological knowledge (Mechanical Engineering or Physics or related)

Minimum of 7 years purchasing experience in the engineering industry

Profound experience in strategic Suppliers Management

Strong commercial orientations, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

Capability to solve unique and complex problems having a broad impact on the supply chain business

Experience in leading cross- organization projects, leadership capabilities

Fluent  German and English language skills

Willingness for (inter)national business travels (up to 25%)
