Description Amazon is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to identify, develop and integrate innovative solutions that redefine customer experience standards in our North American transportation network. Amazon Transportation encompasses operations that deliver shipments from our fulfillment centers and third-party locations to customers worldwide. The Senior Supply Chain Manager, Transportation Execution will partner with key stakeholders in Network Transportation planning processes, spanning First, Middle, and Last Mile planning and strategic planning teams across the North America Transportation Network. The role focuses on aligning stakeholders to drive a Network strategy that achieves network KPI targets including cost, speed, capacity, and other metrics. Projects will include creating and improving mechanisms to bring visibility into network risks and opportunities, and working across stakeholders to implement actions that mitigate risks and achieve the network plan's KPIs. As a Senior Supply Chain Manager within the Planning team, you will leverage robust data-mining and problem-solving skills to ensure cohesive planning throughout the North American transportation supply chain. Key job responsibilities As a Senior Supply Chain Manager on the Planning Team, you will analyze delivery performance across the North American transportation network, identify improvement opportunities, and drive business improvement programs from inception to successful implementation. The team manages and mitigates differences between the aligned plan and the capacity commitment from the business partners in order to achieve alignment to a singular, end-to-end, supply chain planning mechanism. The team is also the ambassador for the tech tools used to simulate transportation volume planning, linking technical investments with business objectives to continuously improve cost, speed, customer experience, accuracy, and growth. The team is uniquely situated to synchronize planning across the business. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of program or project management experience - 5+ years of supply chain experience - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc. - Knowledge of SQL and ETLM. - Proven analytical aptitude, including the ability to mine and analyze large, complex data sets Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field - Organizational skills with keen attention to detail - Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions - High level familiarity with data mining or machine learning - Intermediate proficiency in SQL, including compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc. - Experience developing forecasting models - Experience working with multiple stakeholders and driving consensus - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment - If you are not sure that every qualification on the list above describes you exactly, we'd still love to hear from you! The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
