The Job:  

As a Senior Supply Chain Manager you’ll be part of our Infrastructure team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to:  

Develop strategy and operating plans to ensure the company has appropriate resources to support current forecasted business and projected growth; to communicate resource plans to gain consensus from Sales, Materials, Engineering and Manufacturing that respond to current and expanding markets; and to develop Manufacturing/Distribution models to determine & validate business strategies.

Develop and implement a Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning Process.

Confer with S. I & O.P. team members to forecast demand and create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.

Develop and implement new systems, best practices, inventory control, demand planning and other optimizations in order to grow the business.

Inventory Management and Control:

Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste and optimize customer service.

Monitor forecasts to identify changes and to determine their effect on supply chain activities.

Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies for material inventory and finished goods.

Supply Chain Management:

Design and implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, new product development and cost reduction strategies.

Direct activities related to procurement, material requirements planning, inventory control, and warehousing.

Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost, delivery, or quality (i.e. supplier performance, supermarket stock outs, etc.).

Document physical supply chain processes, such as position responsibilities, cycle times, workflows, or system flows.

Identify, manage and mitigate risk within the supply chain.

Address tactical supply chain issues.

Stays apprised of advances in supply chain technology and approaches and apply within the organization to improve supply chain processes.

Material Handling & Logistics:

Assess appropriate material handling processes and formulate effective staffing levels, to load, unload, move, or store materials.

Oversee logistics operations to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.

Active engagement in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.

The Person:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related Business program.

APICS CPIM Certified or willing to obtain certification.

10 + years progressive experience in a combination of planning, logistics, procurement, and inventory control.

7 + years direct management experience of supply chain or materials team in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Proficient computer skills including: MRP/ERP and Microsoft Office Suite.

 Physical Requirements:

Frequent exposure to manufacturing areas will be required and will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection.

Team member must be mobile enough to navigate the manufacturing shop floor safely including walking and standing for up to four hours at a time.

The work environment will include their own workstation or cubicle space equipped with a telephone, headset, and computer.

The base pay range for this position in California is $100,500.00 - $181,000.00 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
