Senior Survey Project Manager - (Charlotte or Wilmington, NC)

About the position 

We are seeking a skilled Senior Survey Project Manager with experience in construction surveying to oversee and manage our construction survey projects for our Charlotte, or Wilmington, NC office. In addition to managing current projects, this candidate will be responsible for acquiring new construction survey projects to drive the growth of the construction department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. The Senior Survey Project Manager will work closely with other team members, including surveyors, engineers, and administrative staff, to ensure that all projects are executed efficiently and effectively. 
 

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee multiple construction surveying projects from start to finish, ensuring that all project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.Attend networking events & client meetings to generate additional work in the CLT areaMonitor project progress and provide regular status updates to clients and stakeholders.Ensure that all surveying work is performed in compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and specifications.Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure that project goals are met.Coordinate and communicate with other project teams, including contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.Review and approve project documentation, including survey reports, drawings, and plans.Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff members, including surveyors and field crews

Requirements:

Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in NC or SC is preferred but not required.Bachelor's or Associate's degree in land surveying, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction surveying, with a minimum of 3 years of project management experience.Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands.Experience with project management software and tools.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.Valid driver's license required.Proficient in the use of land surveying software, including AutoCAD and Trimble Business Center.
