Job Title: Senior Surveyor

Location: Wellington, Western Cape

The Senior Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing and managing all surveying activities within the construction industry for our client in Wellington. This individual will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient surveying practices are carried out on site.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting detailed surveys of construction sites, including topographical, boundary, and as-built surveys Providing accurate measurements and data analysis for the development of construction plans and drawings Collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure surveying activities meet project timelines and requirements Managing and mentoring junior surveyors to ensure high quality work is completed on site Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure consistent communication and understanding of project objectives Staying current with industry trends and advancements in surveying technology to improve efficiency and accuracy in surveying practices

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Surveying or Civil Engineering Minimum of 4 years of experience in surveying within the construction industry Proficiency in surveying software and technology such as AutoCAD and GPS Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Experience with civil services and infrastructure as well as main pipe lines
