Michael Baker is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager/Sr. Surveyor to join our team in Ridgeland! This role is pivotal in expanding our presence and influence with cities and counties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surveying, project management, and client relations, with a proven track record of working with municipal clients. Responsibilities include:
Lead and manage surveying projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction. Develop and maintain strong relationships with city and county officials, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Conduct site surveys, prepare technical reports, and present findings to clients and stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams to develop project proposals, budgets, and timelines. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and innovation in our services. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote our services and expand our network. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors and team members.PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional Surveyor (P.S.) license or equivalent certification. Minimum of 10 years of experience in surveying, with a focus on municipal projects. Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to surveying and urban development. Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and conduct site surveys.
