SPA’s Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a diverse portfolio of national security government clients, including the Undersea Enterprise, the Navy Surface Community, the Navy MPTE Enterprise, the Army, DoD Agencies, DARPA, OSD, international clients including the Canadian Navy and Australian Defense Force. SPA’s Air Force and Army Programs Group provides aviation-focused analysis and program management for life-cycle systems engineering and logistics support, rapid capabilities development and fielding, cyber warfare operations, nuclear C3, and integrated air and missile defense planning. We provide advanced studies, wargame development, and analysis to support materiel operations, supply strategies, and fleet readiness.
SPA has an immediate need for a Senior Survivability Engineer located at Joint Base Bolling Anacostia, Washington, DC.MC
ResponsibilitiesYou will provide engineering guidance to support the development and test of advanced aircraft. Interact daily with Air Force program managers and industry subject matter experts across multiple domains (air, space, cyber) to assist the government with technical assessments, strategic planning, and engineering evaluations. This position will be located in the Washington DC area with frequent US travel.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: 1) Assist system engineers in developing aircraft survivability specifications, 2) Assess and review aircraft survivability specifications, 3) Assist in the development of aircraft survivability test plans, 4) Review test data from survivability test and evaluation, 5) Provide performance assessments, 6) Support the development of survivability support subsystems that enhance aircraft maintainability, and 7) Work with contractors and government engineering and test personnel.
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Washington DC Pay Transparency Range: $170,000 – 190,000.
