Senior Sustainability Specialist
C.H. Robinson is seeking a **Senior Sustainability Specialist** to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing our sustainability initiatives while supporting our customers and carriers in achieving their sustainability goals. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, contribute to sustainability reporting, and share our sustainability journey through various internal and external communication channels. At C.H. Robinson, we prioritize in-person collaboration to foster innovation and success. While we prefer candidates who can work in a hybrid capacity on-site, we are open to remote arrangements with opportunities for periodic in-person connections at our offices. These arrangements may adjust based on business needs. The deadline for internal applications is Friday, January 31st, by the end of the day. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following: + Support commercial teams by leveraging sustainability as a competitive advantage with customers + Maintain and update a library of standard request for proposal and survey responses, ensuring sales resources are accessible and current + Develop and deliver sustainability-related training for sales and account teams + Oversee the collection, management, and assurance of sustainability data, including partnering with finance to ensure proper internal controls + Manage sustainability data systems, including the data collection process and data management platform + Support annual environmental, social, and governance reporting aligned with sustainability frameworks and regulations, and manage submissions for raters, rankers, and awards + Conduct benchmarking research and competitor analysis to inform strategy and execution + Help craft and communicate the company’s sustainability story through external speaking engagements, board materials, and broader communication strategies + Collaborate across teams to integrate and implement global sustainability initiatives + Stay informed on sustainability trends and regulations, particularly in supply chain and logistics, to guide strategic development and execution **QUALIFICATIONS** Required: + High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) + Minimum of 4 years of post-high school professional experience + Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in sustainability or corporate responsibility + Minimum of 1 year of experience managing mid-to-large-scale projects in a corporate environment Preferred: + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university + Experience in sustainability or environmental, social, and governance (ESG) within the global supply chain or transportation sector + Experience in admissions accounting + Understanding of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and global ESG reporting frameworks and requirements + Ability to build and manage relationships, balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes + Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust, influence, and foster relationships with diverse team members; ability to leverage relationships to drive consistency and ensure delivery + Exceptional planning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to effectively execute plans + Ability to motivate and encourage change, achieving positive results in a large, dispersed organization + Values a diverse and inclusive work environment We will review applications for this role on an ongoing basis and encourage all interested candidates to apply at their earliest convenience. **Compensation Range** $59,300.00 - $123,200.00 The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations.
