Responsibilities A Senior Systems Administrator shows emphasis on System maintenance by maintaining and developing Linux infrastructure and ensures 24x7 system availability.  A Systems Administrator engineer’s solutions for system administration needs and manages and coordinates software upgrades.  The ideal candidate should be committed to monitoring system performance and capacity planning.  A Systems Administrator collaborates with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes. A system Administrator removes impediments and helps the team to become self-organizing and empowered to create, innovate and make decisions for themselves as one team. The ideal candidates provide input on ways to improve the security of the environment.Has extensive experience in taking program requirements and is able to create an architecture vision having experience in high volume and high availability networks and systems. Experience in creating and conveying to team members the architectural vision for a program or project. Has extensive software development experience and thorough knowledge of a variety of programing languages and logic.Possesses the ability to meet established quality standards and industry benchmarks. They monitor processes and inspect produced goods and services. They propose measures and process improvements to enhance operations, ensure reliability of system and minimize downtime, errors, and defects.Will use ServiceNow Integration Hub to schedule and automate file transfers between endpoints in software applications.Create automation test frameworksCollect and report quality metrics from test execution.Work with developers to design specific testing strategies for features being developed and automate them.Create comprehensive test plans; execute and automate them.Support engineering organizations in troubleshooting or addressing issues with applications and dev/test/pre-prod environments. Qualifications 5 years of experience working as a Senior Systems Administrator for software development teams.They may also have experience with automation testing, ServiceNow System Administration Certification, and ITIL Foundations Certification.Middleware experienceExperience and/or working knowledge of ServiceNow Integration Hub, Flow Designer and SFTP Spokes, Preferred.Good to have experience: IBM Sterling File Gateway, IBM WebSphere, Splunk.Must have extensive experience with System Administrator responsibilities and product installationsExperience with ServiceNow administrationDemonstrated ability with ServiceNow incident, change, problem, request, CMDB and knowledge management applications.Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex software application related problems.Exceptional customer service skillsExperience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS and web service integrations using REST, SOAP, etc.Experience working with SFTP/FTP transfer protocols and file transfers built-in software applicationsLinux scripting experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and leadership.Ability to analyze raw results, determine / resolve bottlenecks, and create meaningful documentation of testing scenarios and results.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or other ServiceNow Certifications.Sound technical foundation and working knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and applications.Experience with technologies relevant to ServiceNow and coding skills with high-quality results.Experience working within different automated testing frameworks, including Java, JUnit, Selenium, TestNG and other open-source projects.Ability to understand several testing techniques (e.g. performance, unit, integration, automated),  their strengths and weakness, and ability to use them to best effect - including tracking and addressing of any discovered issues.Ability to use tools (such as IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, system administration/UNIX tools) to assist with daily tasks.

 

Education:

 

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related technical discipline and 5+ years work experienceEight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

 

Clearance: 

 

The ability to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation

Pay Range:
